Close Board.

Closeboard fences consist of post and arris rails with individual featheredge or pales vertically overlapping each other between the posts. The boards sit on a supported gravel board which helps the fence stay level over the years.

Close Board fencing is generally more expensive than panel fencing, but in turn is a lot stronger and is a lot more attractive.

The fences can come in several different heights, these are usually 900mm, 1200mm and 1800mm tall. The bays themselves are usually 3 meters long and are erected on wooden or concrete posts. In some cases, such as the end of run, the fence can be cut to size.

The additional options for this type of fence are the wooden posts can have caps and the top of the fence itself can have a counter rail with capping which strengthens and improves the look of the fence.

The timber we use is of the highest standard and the boards and posts are pressure treated and come tanalised in green or the usual brown.
